BMI Calculator‰ App Reviews

45 add

Great app

Works great for medical application because it uses the Medicare formula for calculating BMI. Thanks, Tim O

Does not include enough variables

I wanted to see if this calculator was accurate but since Im 52" and 85 pounds it says Im underweight. What it doesnt know is that I play tennis, I have a small frame, I have ADHD so Im almost always jumping up and down. Not only that but Im a growing teen. If i had to add something it would be more variables

Good App

This app is great, and seems accurate.

Very helpful tool

What I like about this particular app, is that it allows one to vary the weight to see what weight brings a person into the desired range, without needing to go back and forth between pages.

works well and quickly

use it daily at work, no problems

Ads, really?

Could you let us pay a buck or two, and get rid of the banner ads? (Which, conveniently, arent shown in the sample screenshots.) Deleted.

Terrible.

Very inaccurate of actual bmi. Takes no information at all about your body type to determine bmi.

Does what it says

It does what it says. It calculates the BMI based on height, thats it. It is a tool one can use to measure progress if you are losing or gaining. If youre 52" and 85 lbs dont argue with an app, talk to your doctor about why youre underweight. If youre not happy that your result is overweight or obese, again, consult your doctor. An app is no substitute for the qualified medical advice of a doctor.

Easy to use

Use it in my clinic every day. Easy to use and immediate feedback on normal data. My only suggestion wouldve to include age as Medicare has different standards for healthy weights in the over 65 population.

Simple & useful

I like this not only because of the ease of use but also because it is useful in goal setting. I can enter desired weights & see the BMI as well as the delineation of where I would be for obese, overweight, & normal. This gives me mile posts for the weight loss process.

Doesnt allow decimal input

Ill find a different app for my motivator.

Poor layout.

The BMI number display covers the underweight, normal, and overweight text. There does not seem to be any way to switch the gender of the person you want to perform a BMI calculation on. You select the gender the very first time you use the app, but after that you are apparently locked in.

Doesnt include age or tracking

If you just want a quick calculation for your BMI this is great. But it doesnt include age and it doesnt keep track or give information on ranges.

Calculates but needs tweaking

This app does what it says but it would be nice if I didn’t have to input my height every day, as I’m the only one using it. Give me that and I’ll bump up to 5 stars. As far as I can tell, it’s accurate and if my weight fluctuates by a pound or two from day to day, the changes seem to be in line with that.

Less than mediocre

It does what it says, but doesnt account for gender when determining under weight, normal, or over weight. Just needs some development to ge a useful tool.

Fair

Only allows whole numbers when adding weight. Should allow decimal points.

Works, Outdated

Definitely works. Does what it says. Fast. App is outdated quite a bit. Text overlaps other text. Needs a light refresh for modern iOS.

Pretty good

Like the easiness of this app. Pretty accurate. Good enough 2 keep track.

Simple to use, but please tweak

I would use it every day IF it would allow one to include ounces in the weight calculation. Now I can only use it if my weight happens to be in even pounds.

it works

It works like you expect a bmi calculator to work...why are you reading a review on it?
